Planning and Mission Effectiveness

The work of the Office for Planning & Mission Effectiveness encompasses supporting the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council, management of the archdiocesan pastoral planning process, accompaniment in strategic planning processes for deaneries, parishes, and pastoral leaders, and the leveraging of research and planning to develop consistent metrics of mission vitality. Additionally, the office oversees the Partners in the Gospel initiative, which involves the collaboration of parish families to form new canonical parishes—aiming to foster vibrant, sustainable, and mission-driven parish communities across the archdiocese. To support this work, the Archdiocese of Seattle hired eight parish liaisons who have been trained to support parish families in the process of becoming one parish.
